Hello Friends,

Let me introduce myself to those of you who don’t know me already.

First and foremost, I am a follower of Jesus Christ, a wife to an amazing husband, and a mother to two wonderful teenagers. I have blessings beyond measure!

Since elementary school, I have loved participating in craft projects. I had an amazing grandmother that encouraged me to stay busy making things with my hands. She was a professional seamstress who ran a business out of her home. During the summers, my brother and I stayed with her while our parents were at work. Granny gave me the opportunity to help with her sewing business. She even paid me 25 cents for every hem that I took loose from men’s suit pants and 50 cents for every pair that I serged. I thought that I was the richest kid around.

During one summer day, I started complaining to granny saying, “I AM SO BORED”. It wasn’t long after that she joined a painting group in an effort to learn something new that she could teach me so that The boredom would stop. The next thing I knew, we were painting, scrapbooking, sculpting with polymer clay, and doing so much more. We even used my grandfather’s workshop to cut out wooden items, like birdhouses. These wonderful times together definitely shaped who I am today.

As I grew older and became a wife and a mom, my crafting days slowed way down. I started working full-time jobs and the only time that I did any craft projects was during the Christmas holidays. For years, I have made some type of custom-designed gift to give to my friends and family members as Christmas presents; of course, I bought them something too.

Sadly, my grandmother passed away in October 2018. I have lost one of the greatest loves of my life. But, just like she did when I was younger, she is still spoiling me today. I inherited a lot of her craft supplies along with many other items. I have realized that I have so much stuff and I don’t need to make more crafts for myself.

All of a sudden after talking to some of my friends about my desire to make crafts but lacking the need to do so for myself, I realized that the projects that I was working on at the time were party favors for an upcoming young men’s church camp. BOOM!! I LOVE MAKING GIFTS FOR OTHERS!! How did I not realize this before? I don’t know, but I’m glad I realize it now.

So, here we are, creating this blog to share all of my party favor ideas with you too.

I can’t wait to get busy crafting with you! I would love to hear from you. Email me so that we can join in this journey together.

Blessings,

Jennifer
